Accurate calibration standards [1, 2, 3, 4]are key to accurate optical emission spectrometer (OES) measurements. US Corrosion offers affordable OES calibration standards from metals of all kinds.
There are quite a few good suppliers of OES equipment; however, there are very few OES calibration suppliers, and therefore prices are through the roof! With prices as low as $125 per sample, our calibration specimens are far more cost-effective than other sources on the market. Each sample comes with a certification from a calibration lab to guarantee the chemical composition accuracy.
What about other chemical analysis services?
Our Houston laboratory provides a huge range of chemical analysis services, of which OES is one of the most common. Other common services include electron microscopy, x-ray diffraction, FTIR, XPS, and DNA testing services.
What type of OES calibration standards do I need?
Two kinds: (1) reference calibration standards made by NIST or other governmental bodies around the world, depending on your local regulations and (2) OES calibration standards for each type of material you want to evaluate. Ideally you want to have more than one standard for each grade of material, and often 10-20 steel and stainless steel samples, for example, if those are your most commonly assessed materials.
